Message from our Head Teacher:
Welcome to Wheatfields Primary School. We hope this website will go some way in providing the information you need to learn more about our school and to ensure your child's smooth transition through our school.
Wheatfields Primary School is a large, friendly school set the market town of St. Ives, approximately 16 miles north of Cambridge. Wheatfields is a school where everyone is encouraged to do their best and all achievement is celebrated. Wheatfields is an inclusive school where no one is left out. Our aim is to prepare Wheatfields pupils to be life-long learners who are keen to ask questions and who are curious about the World around them.
Wheatfields pupils are expected to be kind, show respect for one another, listen to one another, show increased independence, work hard and take responsibility for their own actions. Through pupil voice and our school council our pupils are encouraged to share their ideas on how to improve our school even further.
This is a school of which we are very proud. There are good relationships between staff and pupils which support our learners to achieve their potential. We firmly believe in a strong partnership between home and school and hope that you will be able to give active support in your child’s education.
If there is any more information we can give you, or if you would like to arrange a visit to the school, please telephone the school office on 01480 466919 and ask for Mrs Moffat. We look forward to a happy association with you and your children.
Mrs Theresa Thornton.
