TAG RUGBY - DISTRICT 'A' TEAM TOURNAMENT

16th October 2017
MONDAY 16 OCTOBER 2017 - HUNTINGDON RACE COURSE

On Monday, Wheatfields Tag-Rugby ‘A’ team travelled to Huntingdon Race course to participate in the District ‘A’ Team Tag-Rugby Tournament.

On the day the team was drawn in a tough group against Bushmead Primary School, Winhills Primary School, Thongsley Fields Primary School, Godmanchester Primary School and Brampton Primary School.

In our first three games against Bushmead Primary School, Winhills Primary School and Thongsley Fields Primary School the boys and girls from Wheatfields won by a considerable margin. Combining pace, flair and a remarkable defensive line, the team was unstoppable!

In the final group games the team demolished Brampton and narrowly beat Godmanchester in the last game 6-5. This meant that the boys and girls finished top of their group and were drawn against our sporting nemesis Westfield in the final..... In a closely fought contest, where both teams displayed some excellent Rugby skills, Westfield came out on top defeating Wheatfields 11-7.

Mr Mills was incredibly proud of every single member of the team with particular praise going to Jack W for his excellent performance throughout the tournament.

WELL DONE TO EVERYONE!
