YEAR ONE TRIP TO ELY CATHEDRAL

11th October 2016
Recently we had an amazing adventure at Ely Cathedral.  In class we had learnt about the features found in a church and using all our senses we went on an exciting treasure hunt to see if we could find the lectern, the pulpit, the organ, the altar, the font and so on.  We looked for features on the outside too.

After lunch we went on an animal safari, still in the cathedral!  We found lots of different animals including chickens, fish, sheep and even a dragon!

We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Ely Cathedral for a fantastic visit, but also for helping to pay for the transport costs.  Also a very BIG THANK YOU to the adults that gave up their free time to come with us.

The teachers were very proud of our children's behaviour and good manners, which were noticed by lots of visitors to the cathedral.

WELL DONE YEAR 1 - WHEATFIELDS ARE PROUD OF YOU!
