The Rotary Club launched their annual "Rotary Young Photographer of the Year" competition last Autumn.  The theme was "Colours of Nature" and the Rotary Club asked those entering to "express themselves by putting your photography skills to the test".

Mr Jim Murdoch of the Rotary Club of St Ives liaised with local schools to send out details of the competition to encourage entrants and some of our Year 5 pupils rose to the challenge.  The aims of the competition are to encourage young people to:

  • experiment with photography
  • use digital and/or traditional methods of photography
  • demonstrate interpretation of the topic
  • express ideas through the medium of photography

Two of our boys, Michael and Felix, entered the competition and their entries were so good they were selected to enter the district competition!  WOW - well done lads!
