Welcome to Wheatfields Primary School
I am proud to be the Headteacher of this friendly, inclusive school set in the market town of St Ives, just north of Cambridge.
Wheatfields learners are encouraged to do their best in all areas, with high expectations for behaviour and attitudes to learning, and where progress and achievements are celebrated regularly.
Our aim is to prepare Wheatfields pupils to be life-long learners who are keen to ask questions and are curious about the world around them. We expect pupils to be kind, work hard, be respectful of one another, develop independence and take responsibility for their actions. Pupils are encouraged to share their ideas on how our wonderful school can improve even further.
We work incredibly hard to support the children in our care, but also form positive working relationships with parents and carers to build a strong partnership between home and school, encouraging learners to be the best that they can be.
If you are interested in learning more about our fantastic school, I would love to show you around. Please contact the school office on 01480 466919 or office@wheatfields.cambs.sch.uk
Set within the Burleigh Hill Estate to the north of St. Ives, we cater for children from the age of 3 (Wheatfields Preschool) to age 11 (Year 6). It is a large site and provides outstanding facilities for all of our children throughout their primary education.
