LATEST NEWS FROM PAWS

PAWS SUMMER EVENTS & SUMMER FAIR POSTER COMPETITION (NEWS 02.06.2025)

We wanted to let you know the exciting things PAWS have planned for the summer term and how you can get involved!

Too Cool for School - Dress Down Day Friday 6 June
We will be having a summer dress down day called 'Too Cool for School'. This will be on Friday 6th June.
Children can wear summer clothing (but must still wear appropriate school shoes and sandals). We're not asking for a donation of money for this dress down day, instead we are asking for donations which we can use on our tombola and wine tombola. If you have any screw top bottles of wine, toiletry sets, gifts, toys, book, stationary, which we can use in our tombola, please hand them in at reception.

Frozen Fridays
Frozen Fridays will be back after half term selling a section of ice creams and ice lollies outside the link corridor. Prices will be 50p - £1.
Please let us know if you are free on any the Fridays to help sell some frozen treats.

Summer Fair - Saturday 5 July
Our Summer Fair will be on Saturday 5th July 11-2, we hope you are able to join in.

Poster Competition
We will be running a poster Competition giving a child from each year group a chance to win a golden ticket for a free turn on all the PAWS stalls at the Summer Fair. Use the template attached and write your name and YEAR GROUP on the back.  Make sure entries are bright, bold and informative. Please hand your entries in at the school office by Friday 6th June. Please also write on the back of the poster, if you would like your entry back afterwards. We hope to put some of these up around town, so it might not be possible to get all entries back to children.

Volunteers
Can you spare an hour or two on 5th July to help set up, run a stall or clear up afterwards. In order for us to a variety of games, stalls and refreshments we rely on volunteers. If you can help, or know someone who can help please get in contact with PAWScommittee@gmail.com.
Face painting is always a popular, however we are short on face painters - so if you know anyone please ask them to contact us.

New Play Equipment
The new play equipment was installed over half term so the children will be able to enjoy using it soon - school sent a Class Dojo message out, we just need to wait for the equipment to settle over a few days and be certified safe to use.  Thank you again for supporting our sponsored event to help us reach our fundraising goals.

We look forward to seeing you at our Summer events.

FUNDRAISING WITH ASDA

PAWS has signed up to a new and exciting easy fundraising scheme with ASDA. This is a limited time scheme, running until 30 November, where PAWS will receive 0.5% of the value of your shop, every time you shop at ASDA. All you need to do is follow the instructions below to register.

In addition to this every time somebody opts-in to support our Wheatfields, Asda will give an additional £1 to the school Cashpot. So even if you don't shop as ASDA, you can opt-in to help raise money.

We have been busy getting quotes and designs for our new playground equipment, so every penny counts to help us get something really exciting for the children to play on. So if you shop at ASDA please do take a look below.  It’s as easy as 1,2,3:

1. Download the Asda Rewards app, register and opt-in to Cashpot for Schools (make sure you have the latest version of the app installed)

2. Choose our Primary School – either searching by Wheatfields or PE27 3WF

3. Shop instore across Asda and George, or online at Asda.com and start filling your Cashpot as you shop
