May half term holiday and summer 2025 Family Events - Norris Museum
Below is information about our family activities for May Half Term, as well as our Art Adventure Club sessions for this term, and attached are some posters.
Art Adventure Club - Summer Term 2025: Going Green
Saturdays, 2:00pm to 3:30pm - A family art club aimed at 6-11 year olds and their adults (who also create their own works of art!)
10th May - Recycled Printing - Use everyday items to create a unique design to print on a cloth bag, which is yours to keep!
14th June - Seeing in Green - In celebration of The Great Big Green Week 2025! https://greatbiggreenweek.com/
Capture the beautiful views from the museum’s Community Room in a variety of different mediums whilst only using different shades of green, blue, and yellow. All proceeds from this session will be donated to... The 2 Minute Foundation - https://2minute.org/

Brillian Bugs Gallery Trail - From Saturday 24th May to Saturday 31st May
Search the museum for the bug images and see if you can work out which of the fascinating facts are true and which are fibs! Design your own bug and show your completed trail to earn some bug stickers – free!
Bug Hotel Craft Packs - Create your own busy bug hotel for the bugs visiting your garden using card, sticks, pinecones, moss, and string. The pack also contains instructions, a bug dice game and a bug colouring game, as well as a Curious Bugs Fact Sheet. Just £5.00 per pack, or two for £9.00 (or mix and match with the other craft packs we have on sale), available to buy whilst stocks last from the museum shop from Saturday 24th May.
Felting a Friend: Family Workshop with Rick Outis - Tuesday 27th May: 2x Workshops - 9:45am to 12:15pm and 1pm to 3:30pm
Make a little felted friend to hold a special pebble. Sometimes holding a special stone in our hand can make us feel super strong and safe. If we make a pod to hold our stone, the stone will be sure to look after us! Wet felting is a fantastic sensory activity with lots of soap, warm water, rubbing and rolling! The result is magical, colourful and fun!

Garden Bug Safari: Family Story Time and Crafts - Friday 30th May, 10:30am to 11:30am
Hear bug stories, decorate your own bug magnifying glass and use it to search for bugs in the museum garden. Create your own bug out of clay and natural craft materials and have a go at butterfly sponge printing! Enjoy a creepy crawly small world, as well as more books and games in the museum garden.
£7.50 for 1 child / £14.00 for 2 children / £19.50 for 3 children
